myVSAC FAQs


Where can I find my VSAC Account Number?

Your VSAC account number appears on many loan documents and bill statements that VSAC sends to you through the US postal service. Refer to one of these documents to locate your VSAC account number (e.g. 000999999 or 999999). If you are unable to locate your VSAC account number, e-mail info@vsac.org to request your account number by U.S. mail or call 1-800-798-8722 for assistance.

If your account was recently transferred to VSAC from the U.S. Department of  Education and your account number begins with F or 8, please visit www.vsacfederalloans.org to log in to your ‘Manage My Account’.

 

How do I get into myVSAC?

From the vsac.org homepage, click on the myVSAC link in the top right-hand corner.

 

Where do I get a myVSAC user name?

You can choose your myVSAC user name during registration.

 

Where do I get a myVSAC password?

You can choose your myVSAC password during registration.

 

How do I set up a myVSAC profile?

Click on Register Now within myVSAC. If your account was recently transferred to VSAC from the U.S. Department of  Education and your account number begins with F or 8, please visit www.vsacfederalloans.org to log in to your ‘Manage My Account’.

 

What information will myVSAC provide?

News about VSAC events and a link to your grant or loan account information.

 

I started to create a profile and then left my computer. Do I have to start again from the beginning?

myVSAC will display a message telling you the profile has been sucessfully created. If you do not receive this message, you will need to create a new profile from the beginning.

 

I am trying to link my profile, but I received a message that my account is already linked to a myVSAC profile.

You can link only once. If you have linked a profile in the past, but do not remember your login information, click the “Forgot Password" or “Forgot User Name" link in the “Need Help?" section and then follow the prompts.

How can I view information concerning my education loan accounts?

From the VSAC home page, click “myVSAC/Account Access." From here registered users can log in. New users can create a myVSAC profile and link it to their VSAC loan account. When logged into myVSAC a window appears listing online services. Click “View Loan Info/Make a Payment" for information about your education loan accounts

What do I do if I forget my password or my user name?

Click the Forgot Password (or Forgot User Name) link in the Need Help? section and then follow the prompts.

If I forget my password and it gets reset, can I then change it back to a password that I have used in the past?

Yes.

 

I forgot to link to my loan and grant information when I created my profile. Is it too late to do that now?

No, you can do that at anytime. Click on Link my Accounts from the main myVSAC display.

 

Why do I need to provide my e-mail address when I create a myVSAC profile?

myVSAC is designed to provide you with information and services electronically. We will use your myVSAC e-mail address to send you e-mail messages to confirm your myVSAC registration and to provide you with myVSAC login assistance. In the future, we will use your myVSAC e-mail address to introduce new electronic informational services, such as college preparation newsletters, event announcements, and information to help you plan and finance higher education. You will have the option each time to discontinue receiving such informational e-mails.

If you have previously given VSAC a different e-mail address in connection with a grant, loan or scholarship account, we may use that address to send account related information to you.

VSAC respects your privacy. We do not sell address lists. We do not use e-mail to request your social security number, VSAC account number, or myVSAC user id or password.

I reset my password but the e-mail hasn’t arrived. Why haven’t I received it?

Generally it can take up to 24 hours to receive your myVSAC Password or User Name by e-mail. The sender of the e-mail will be info@vsac.org.

Sometimes our e-mails may be mistaken for unwanted (spam) messages by your e-mail provider. Please check your “spam" or “junk mail" folders and make sure to move our message to your inbox. If given the option, please mark any e-mails from VSAC as “not spam." Also, to minimize future issues receiving our e-mails, add “info@vsac.org" to your e-mail contacts.

If it has been more than 24 hours since the Password or User Name was requested, please contact us at info@vsac.org or call 1-800-798-8722 for assistance. We recommend that you only attempt to reset your password once within the 24 hour period until the e-mail arrives. Resetting the password several times will invalidate each prior temporary password. Only the most recent temporary password will work.
